I for one fully expect Schiller to annihilate the crowds at the last Macworld of all time. Looking forward to it.

Don’t worry though, I should be able to bring all the content over easily enough. Including the malware links, but I think I found them all this time.

I guess websites have doors. I’m very sad.

The only gift I have to give back for the divine and eternal gift of conception, creation, and birthing bestowed upon this website is this link to the finest piece of CARS merchandise available: the
Schillermania Roadie T-shirt. I only hope that the untold thousands of dollars in profit generated by this generous link placement will not lure old Moldy-Moltzy back to quirky internet publishing. May Schillerworld live on forever.

The picture was taken by John Gruber, who did not in any way authorize it’s use here nor has he been contacted. Click through to view the actual photo at Flickr. Apologies for the unethical and illegal usage.

In a great interview at Engadget, Phil goes on the record about this very site … and um how, um … effortlessly it’s run?

Pretty awesome that the first thing out of interviewer Ryan Block’s mouth when he got the chance to speak to Phil was to ask about Schiller-mania. Maybe not the best journalistic move to creep out the interview subject right off the bat, but flattering to us. Phil went on to downplay his fame and give a good personal interview while of course staying on message about the awesome new iPods, iTunes, and the like. I recommend Schiller fans and everyone else take a look.

Daringfireball immediately trashed Engadget of course. Something about a history of bad reporting?

The schillermania.com domain name was unintentionally allowed to lapse for about six days in November. Four days into that period, the domain was snagged by some other dude! If you’ve dealt with this before, you know it’s not coming back anytime soon. We had to move the site to schiller-mania.com, so here we are!

In the process we switched to a new host, too. I’m sure many of you have seen 1&1‘s promotional plan of free web hosting. Well that price fit our budget perfectly, so after registering an account months ago (the promotion has since ended, sorry) we have finally decided to open up shop. So far everything looks great.

Maybe I’ll spell out the rest of the sad details of our old domain later. At any rate, we’re back.

Add this site to the list of Schiller’s many victims! His massive charisma is too much to handle even for those who seek it out!

We had almost recovered from banging our heads falling over after Phil’s appearance at MacWorld, when he nailed us with another dose. When Schiller popped up on iChat AV at WWDC I almost shit my pants! Man that was awesome!!

Like Icarus this website strove to bathe in the glory of Phil Schiller, and the wings of our update schedule were roasted by the sun of Phil’s marketing intensity. We couldn’t handle the Schill, basically.

We’ve learned a lot about ourselves, and a lot about Phil Schiller since we’ve started though. And we know now that it may not be possible to contain within the boundaries of mere HTML and javascript the boundless good of Phil Schiller.

That’s why were getting back to basics at schillermania.com; back to our founding vision for what the website could be. That’s right; a bland site where you can buy Phill Schiller fan gear!

The store already exists, click here if you don’t believe it, but there is nothing for sale yet. Not to worry, the first round of products are right around the corner. Expect a Schiller T-shirt first, then two Schillermania posters. After that, who knows? Let us know if you have any requests for merchandise.

Thanks to Crazy Apple Rumors for the link, the check is in the mail.

The Official launch of schillermania.com is upon us, and at an exciting time for Phil Schiller fans worldwide. With MacWorld San Francisco just over a week away, Phil will be dropping some serious product knowledge on us about some seriously cool technology very soon!

What’s more, Phil’s awesome descriptions of the great new products at MacWorld are usually only the beginning of a tidal wave of Schiller appearances as he makes his rounds of the tech media. Let’s hope 2003 is Schiller’s best year yet!

The next major event marked on all mac fan’s calendars is right around the corner. MacWorld San Francisco always brings the dope new shit, and Phil Schiller is always knee deep in it.

This year’s west coast event looks to be another great one, too. Along with the traditional inspiring Keynote™ by Steve Jobs, this year’s MacWorld also features a rare appearance by Woz and a sequel to last year’s excellent Avie and hil Show: The Power of X.

Be sure to visit an Apple Store (preferably one with a theater) near you to watch the Keynote™ at 9:00am Pacific on Tuesday, January 7th. Or just grab a stream from Apple to tune in online. Satellite coordinates are also posted here, for those with the equipment.

Unfortunately, only the Keynote™ is going to be broadcast, so you will have to be at the Expo to check out any of the other presentations live. But not to worry, if Apple follows its form of last year, they will post the Power of X presentation online a few days later. If you didn’t see last year’s Power of X, you should definitely go check it out if you can find it. It was a tour de force of Mac OS X’s cool features, from a more technical angle too.

This year’s Power of X presentation looks to exceed last year’s engaging heights with a bevy of new features of OS X, some of which have yet to be announced probably. You can be sure that Phil will be spot on as usual in describing exactly what makes Apple’s technologies so cool. Maybe they’ll have found the answer to last year’s big question: “How many icons can you put in the dock?”

It’s great to see Phil getting more and more opportunities to do his thing in the limelight, but we can still count on him to fill his traditional roles in supporting Steve’s Keynote™. Look for a nice video interview with Phil about some or all of the new announcements. We may also see him onstage helping Steve with some demos. Last year’s MacWorld New York sure went smoothly with Phil demonstrating BlueTooth with his phone and Rendezvous with a laser printer.

The excitement of seeing Phil on stage is enough for us, so we’ll leave the announcement speculation to the rumor sites. Any one who’s attending this year, make sure to give Phil a very enthusiastic welcome. Schill-er Schill-er!!
