“My Name is Phil Schiller”
Phil stepped on stage at the Guggenheim Museum in New York last Thursday at Apple’s Education Event and started with “My name is Phil Schiller…” as if the world didn’t know. But Phil’s remarkable display of humbleness was in service to the seriousness with which Apple takes Education.
Phil went on to not only introduce iBooks 2, iTunes U, and iBooks Author, but also called out the sad state of education in America and the plight of US students in another remarkably socially aware statement for a corporation.
Looks like Phil is not only most comfortable being the one who gets to present Apple’s work to the public, he’s also as comfortable as Jobs was positioning Apple as a humanistic business “at the intersection of Liberal Arts and Technology.” Bravo Phil!
